Buen fin

haha ok so you know black friday? well pretty much that`s what this weekend is here. haha
ok this week was good, we got to teach more people which is always good, and we are finding new people to teach, now it`s just in our field the follow up. I`m excited for this week to be able to go and teach the people  we found this week. Things are looking up, and now we are just hoping and praying that people will come to church. We have some incredible investigators that read and pray and want to get baptized, but don`t come to church... struggle! but we are looking into what we can do better to help them come.
This week has been pretty cool. I have thought a lot about why i`m here, what my purpose is, and where my testimony is. We watched a video a couple weeks ago of Elder Holland that just doesn`t want to leave my head. He talked a lot  about how we HAVE to have a testimony before we can even hope that someone we teach can obtain  a  testimony. that really struck me, and I have been doing a self check to see how i am in that.  Last night i had a really special experience bearing my testimony, and i really realized that I really do have a super strong testimony of this gospel, that God is our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ is our Savior, and that we have a prophet today that guides us. As i bore my testimony i just felt the spirit and knew without a doubt that it`s true. I am so grateful for that, and because i know that testimony that i have now will just keep growing. I love this gospel and i love sharing it with the people here.
I love you all so much. I hope you are all doing great wherever you might be , and that you will always remember that you have a Heavenly Father and best friend who loves you and will always be there for you whenever you need Him.
I love you all! Have a great week!

Hey!

Hooola!
Hey everyone! sooo I am totally short on time, but I just wanted to give a little update on how things are going down here in mexico!
First, it is FINALLY cooling off and there is no one more excited for that than us missionaries haha.
Two, my companion and I are the same person and it is fantastic. Every day we find something new that we have in common haha. We are having a great time, and had a great week together.
Three! sooo this week has been a lot better than the last few. We got to see more people, and teach more lessons. We found 5 new investigators! Something that we REALLY needed... We are starting to work more with the members which is a little difficult in this ward, but we`re working on trying to help them be more united and more like a family as a ward. It`s always a sad experience when we are teaching less actives and the tell us the don`t go because of problems they had with other members... it kills me. So, remember Jeymy? the investigator i told you about last week?? So, we went to teach her, and turns out she didn`t just read the little chapter of the BOM that we left her, but she started from the beginning, and she loves it! She tells us how it just makes sense. She understands what is happening, and she just sits and reads. so awesome. Read the book of mormon! Love it, and live what it tells you. It is such a blessing that we have, and I love it.
Ok, well i have to go, but I love you all!! thank you again for all of your love and support!
Love always,

Lluvia

Sooo! This week has been AWESOME! I think i`m the most tired that i`ve been in my whole mission, but i`m ok with it because it  is so worth it. This week we went to a training meeting for all of the zone leaders and sister training leaders with president, and the assistants. It was awesome. It is pretty cool being able to see how the mission works, and hear and be able to learn things from missionaries in all parts of the mission.
On wednesday night late, our zone leaders called us and asked if we could give part of the training the next day in zone conference... ahhhh! ahaha i was a bit nervous, but i think it went well. I talked about the importance of being obedient, about the blessings that come from it. I used an example from the book of mormon that i really loved. It`s when the 2000 strippling warriors go to battle, with no experience, just trusting in  thier leaders and in the Lord. And because they did exactly what they were told, because they trusted completely in them, they were  blessed. Not a single one of those young men died in battle. How awesome?
After the zone conference, we went on exchanges with some of the sisters in our zone, i went with one to her area, and my companion went back to our area with the other, then the next day, we switched with another companionship and did the same thing except for I was in my area with one of the sisters. haha with her i felt right at home! She`s from the dominican republic just like my first two companions, and it was awesome:) I learned SO much from those two sisters. It is such a cool experience being able to work with and learnd from them. I think I am going to learn a lot more from this assignment than the other sisters from me. I am so grateful for this opportunity.
Today is mexico`s independence day and to celebrate, we had a zone activity, we ate some yummy food, and played soccer!  it was awesome. I will send pictures next week, I forgot my cable at the house....
I love you all so much!! have a great week!

NINE MONTHS

Ok, so I can´t believe it, but I hit the half way mark this last week! Holy cow. It is so crazy how this whole time thing works.
So, the mission is something else. Sometimes I feel like I haven´t changed at all in these last nine months, but then I look at myself back then, and look at my self now, and I think more spiritually than anything, I have grown SO much. I´ve been thinking about it a lot lately, and before the mission, I knew the stuff. I knew the church was true, i knew the basics of the doctrine, I knew God and Jesus Christ exist, but in the mission, I have come to understand these truths better, and really come to feel and REALLY know that they are true. I am SO incredibly grateful for that. I am so grateful for the things I have learned, and for the testimony that I now have, and that I have these next nine months to really solidify and learn even more. What a blessing it is to be a missionary.
This week has honestly been rough. We had very few lessons, I felt discouraged for the work, and honestly, I think mostly because I momentarily lost my focus a little. But this week is going to be better. I played soccer this morning and got all of my frustrations out, so it will be a good week haha;)
However, despite the small number of lessons, we had some incredible ones too. We are teaching a 18 year old boy named Hector. He is awesome. Originally we were teaching other people that live in the house, and he just passed through here and there with friends and such. Later, we had the opportunity to talk to him and a friend about the book of mormon, and when we went back, Jessica told us that Hector had been reading. WHAT??? So when he got home, we started to talk to him a bit about it, and it was incredible. We talked about how we can pray to know if it´s true, and then he asked us if we had asked and gotten an answer, and when we told him yes, he sat there in awe, and just thinking. Then, when we went back and taught him the first lesson, he told us that he believes this is the only true church, and that he wants to keep learning. AH he his so special.
So right now we don´t have a ton of investigators. Some are out of town, others super busy with school starting up this next week, others have been sick, but little by little the work goes on, and I am SO grateful to be a part of it.
I love you all. Thank you so much for your love and support!

Raining!

So by the title, you can probably tell that we have seen a little rain here.. haha It is a nice refresher from the heat, but that doesn´t mean we are escaping the heat. only for an hour maybe haha.
This week has been an adventure. We are in the process of finding new investigators, and honestly things are a bit rough in that area, but we are searching and working hard.
Along the same topic, one day this week, i think friday, we went to see a lot of people, but not one of them were home. It was rough. I was a bit discouraged, didn´t feel good, and a little stressed because of the lack of people we have to teach. I just wanted to head back to the house and try to feel better, but I knew I just needed to keep working. So, we went to go see two more people, and neither of them were home. We kept walking, and as we walked by a house, a man said something to us, honestly I didn`t hear him, but I turned my head, stopped, and started talking to him and his little son. We started talking about little things like his family and such, and were able to tell him a lot about the church, and he was really interested. He was asking incredible questionsl, and we set up an appointment to go back and teach him this week. We walked away from the conversation, and honestly, I couldn´t believe it. The Lord really is with us in every moment, and gives us the miracles when we act by faith. Just like the 2000 stripling warriors, who had never been to war, never fought in a battle, but trusted in the Lord, and saw the miracles that came through their faith. Just like them, when we face the trials, the new things in life, feel like we can´t do something, or whatever other thing, if we trust in Him, and act with faith, we WILL see the miracles. I love you all so much!

Transferred!

Hi everyone!
This week has been CRAZY!
We had a surprize baptism!! A man we have been teaching that had a baptismal date for the 14th decided that he wanted to be baptized earlier! SO! we had a baptism on saturday, and it was the most spiritual thing of my life. His name is Julio. His kids, his wife of 26 years, and his dad are all members, but he didn't want to get baptized. We started teaching him, and he accepted to be baptized. On saturday at his baptism, i swear half of the ward was there, if not more. it was incredible. The spirit was SO strong you could touch it. To see and hear his family bear testimony and talk about how they never thought they would see the day that he got baptized, was so touching. And now, in a year, they will be able to go to the temple and be sealed as an eternal family. I am SO grateful that I got to be a small part of this.
So as it says in the title, I got transferred! I am now in Hermosillo, and I am training. My new companion is Hermana Sifuentes and is great. I am excited to work with her.
I love you all so much!!
take care!

Frying in Guayamas

Soooo pretty much it´s just super hot here, but i´m loving it!
This week has been a bit of a roller coaster, but overall really good. I have learned a lot and realized a lot about the things I need to improve to become the missionary that I really want to be.
This week my mission president announced that we are all going to work harder to be ¨preach my gospel missionaries¨ and as part of this, in our personal study every day, we are studying half an hour from the Book of Mormon, and Half an hour from Preach my Gospel starting from the beginning. i have already seen a difference in the last few days as i´ve done this, and I am so excited to work more in this.
This last week I went on exchanges with the sister training leaders, and it was awesome. I was back in my old ward here in guaymas, and i learned so much. We didn´t get to teach a ton of different people, but i definitely walked away with things i wanted to work on and things I learned. We had a really special experience with a woman that is inactive. we went to visit her daughter because she has been wanting to go back to church, but when we got there, the mom answered the door and told us that she didn´t want anything to do with the church and she didn´t want her daughter to go either. I just stood there and wasn´t sure of what to do. I could tell she just wanted us to leave, but we started talking to her, well more my companion, and as we talked, we figured out why she felt that way. She had a few really bad experiences with some of the ward members, and with the missionaries that baptized her, and she had just held in a lot of pain and sadness from that. We explained a few things to her, and in the end, she told us that she was going to go to church on sunday, and that she wanted to have an interview with the bishop to clear everything up! I don´t know if she went because i don´t go to her ward, but I definitely learned something about diligence, about not giving up, about the importance of following the spirit and finding the needs of the people I teach.
I love you all so much. I just want to share my testimony that I KNOW this gospel is true. I know without a doubt that it changes lives, that when one accepts it in their lives and applies it, their hearts change, a seed is planted, a desire to become like the Savior starts to grow and grow, and it is incredible. I love my Savior, I love my Heavenly Father. I am so blessed in so many ways, and I  am so grateful for the knowledge that I have of the Plan of our Heavenly Father for each and every one of us.
I love you all!
