Hola!

Hi everyone!
I hope everything is going well for all of you!
So I don´t have much time, so sorry for the short update!
Last week Elder Craig C Christensen of the presidency of the seventy came, and we had a conference with him and all of us 150 some odd missionaries in Hermosillo. It was really cool and really powerful to have that many missionaries in one little chapel. We had a question and answer section of the meeting, and it was really cool to see a general authority respond to the questions us missionaries had. There is such a special spirit wherever there is a general authority. they really are called by God.
This week has been great. I don´t think I have laughed as much as I have this week in a long time. My companion and I have a good time, which is necessary to not go insane haha.
So saturday was incredible. There were little miracles one after another, and an answer to my prayers.
One thing that really got me: So learning a language is hard. I prayed that morning to know that i will be able to learn the language and help the people here in mexico. After lunch, we were on the bus headed back to our area from a member´s house, and i was sitting next to a lady that started talking to me. we actually had a conversation, and i actually made sense in what i was saying! I invited her to church, gave her a pamphlet of the restoration, and got her contact information, all by myself! It was such a blessing, and something that i needed desperately. Heavenly Father really is listening to each one of our prayers and is going to help us if we have the faith.
I love you all!!

Feliz Dia de Amor!

This week went by faster than last week! I didn´t think that was possible.
Ok so this week we taught a few lessons about enduring to the end. I love this topic so much. We always talk about how important it is with the people we teach, and how we can do it: read the scriptures, pray, go to church, and keep the commandments..... This week though, I read Helaman 5:12 which talks about how we should build our foundation in the Savior, and if we do we won´t fall. I love this so much. Because if we are doing the things to endure to the end, we are planting our feet in the Savior, and as we continue to do so, our foundation is going to get stronger and stronger in Him and no matter what happens, if our foundation is in the Savior, He won´t let us fall. We have His promise of that. How incredible is that?
I had a really special experience this week. We went to visit a lady we had contacted the week before. We got to her house, and she ushered us in and had us go into a bedroom where her mom was. Her mom i´m pretty sure was blind, and she was so frail and couldn´t really do much for herself. Her daughter (Veva) Sat her up, was feeding her, and brushing her hair. The love she has for her mom was incredible. It made me think of my mom and how much I love her. The mom (Ramona) after we sang the opening hymn and prayed, just wanted to hear more hymns. So we sang a few more hymns. It was incredible how strong the spirit was. Between the spirit that was there and the whole situation, I was fighting back tears. It was pretty incredible.
So! This is Manuel! He is one of our investigators, and is so awesome! He has been coming to church and has such a desire to learn and understand. He is a very special man.
Happy Valentines Day to all of you! I love you all!

Febrero!

Well, it´s February! Where does the time go?? I just don´t know.
Ok so last week, we started teaching an english class at the church for whoever wants to come. We had two students hahah it was fun. I taught some simple greetings and how to pronounce the english alphabet. It´s so interesting how different the languages are.
This week has been crazy, and it´s hard to know what to tell you all!
We did have a really spiritual lesson this last week. We gave them passalong cards with a picture of the salt lake temple, and the whole time, the wife was looking at the picture and I could just see in her eyes that she wants to go and she wants an eternal family. It was a really cool experience for me to watch, and I hope and pray every day that her family can have the desire to really know that this gospel is true, and that they can do the thing´s they need to to come into this gospel.
Also, we have an investigator that accepted a baptismal date! He is a very special man. He is always so happy and friendly! Our lessons with him are always so spiritual, and I love it. AND! He came to church on sunday! We were SO excited!
Life here is SO different from at home, but I love it. I feel like I´m growing closer and closer to my Heavenly Father every day and learning more and more about His plan for me. It is such a special experience to be doing His work every day. I love having the name of my Savior over my heart every day. I hope I am making Him proud and doing the things He wants me to do. I love my Savior with all my heart.
Love,
